The Mississippi State Senate Kills All Article V Convention Resolutions
 
APPLETON, WIS. – March 29, 2018 – On March 28, 2018 a committee in the Mississippi State Senate voted against 7 resolutions calling for an Article V Convention, HCR 31, SCR 509, SCR 510, SCR 511, SCR 548, SCR 644, and HCR 56. Specifically HCR 56 was backed by Convention of States (COS) and had passed the Mississippi House of Representatives by a vote of 76-42. With this resolution dying in the state Senate committee, it prevents Mississippi from becoming the 13th state with a live application for a COS-type of Article V Convention.
